Pretrial services officer

Responsibilities

Under supervision, pretrial services officers:

  • Investigate persons with criminal histories and adverse behavioral health, safety, and justice-involved (BHSJ) backgrounds
  • Provide information and make recommendations to the Court and BHSJ partners to help determine detention and/or release status and conditions
  • Identify bail and/or pretrial release requirements
  • Facilitate probable cause and other hearings and legal processes
  • Provide client caseload management for clients under Pretrial release programs during the adjudication of their cases.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or relevant experience that can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis including relevant analytical, administrative, lead, supervisory or management experience that includes interpreting rules and regulations, gathering data and formulating reports and report writing.

Extra-help pretrial officer

Compensation 

  • Extra Help works on an hourly basis up to 1040 hours per year.
  • Hourly rate ranges between $34.39 and $56.07 and is based on how many hours of work accrued and qualifications.
  • There are no benefits.

  3. Your application will be forwarded and reviewed for employment standards by the Employee Services Agency (ESA), Human Resources Department. Upon completion of the review, ESA will inform the department if your application has been approved and the department will communicate that to you.
